Building blocks of matter
When I get bored I start sketching blocks.... I prefer not to use a ruler as I just want to keep on building, making a mark. For this piece I started drawing onto a painted piece of cardboard with biros and felt pens. In some aspects this work can represent information being stacked into blocks of matter (like a clouded mind) or the city- the population of growth in small condensed areas.
Cardboard and Triangles
What do you get when you take a scrap piece of cardboard, acyrlic, pencil and felt pens???......
For this piece I was experiementing with the position of triangles in clusters. I don't particularly like the positioning of each cluster, but on their own, they look pleasing to the eye. The use of black helps to break up the colour. If I decide to do another one, I will not use pencil because I find the shine a distraction.
